TIM TEN YEN

The sensational singing salary man returns to rock our world. Since we last saw him at our first birthday party Mr Ten Yen has been busy supporting the legendary Carter USM at Brixton Academy, playing a series of high energy all ages open air gigs and generally getting on with world domination via the medium of a small keyboard, an animatronic cat and feet infesting catchy beats. 

For the uninitiated TTY's musical stylings could be summarised as lounge pop chucked in a blender with Christmas morning exuberance. Live it's a bit like the film 'An American Psycho' but without the chainsaws and all the killing. To see this is to fall in love.

Contrary to popular belief their name has nothing to do with guns, bitches or bling but rather perhaps is extrapolated from the chemical formula of a hydroxide sulphate commonly found within the bodies of sponges and tube worms near volcanic vents on the bed of the ocean. For life in such conditions it literally is too hot to sweat yet fascinatingly these organisms are able to endure the most incredible temperatures and pressures. But enough of the national geographic already; all you need to know is that it is your mission on Friday to get better acquainted with 2H2S's delicious fuzzed up electro pop. Their dirty technological sound served up with slicing guitar beats even Le Tigre into second place on a good day.
